With the support of the TSB Community Trust and Methanex, the Taranaki Arts Festival offers an extensive programme of music and theatre for students throughout Taranaki.

These performances aim to entertain as well as educate.

The Festival to Schools programme takes performances directly into schools, this year offering two very special New Zealand projects – Ernest Rutherford Everyone can Science! and Dirt and Other Delicious Ingredients.

The Schools to Festival programme provides an opportunity for school groups to experience performances and visual arts experiences in festival venues. The programme offers international performances of Scotland’s Anatomy of the Piano, as well as three uniquely New Zealand shows: My Own Darling,  An Awfully Big Adventure and Hamlet the Video Game (The Stage Show).

French cardboard artist Olivier Grossetête’s will work with students and the public to create the TSB Community Trust People’s Tower, a sky-high temporary tower that will be erected in New Plymouth’s CBD and taken down in a public demolition.
