It will be a rollercoaster ride of sound when The Great Taranaki Steam Band swings into the Crystal Palace.
The 40-strong community ensemble will play jazz standards from the likes of Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller.
This will be a concert of varied styles, from uplifting to laidback, featuring jazz arrangements of much-loved tunes like I Heard it through the Grapevine,Tequila and Georgia on my Mind.
This community focused group has been going for 17 years and still has original members. Some have picked up instruments from their sons and daughters when they left home and continued the passion for playing.
In this toe-tapping extravaganza, the Steam Band will be under the baton of musical director Christopher Luke.
